This Privacy Policy describes how LeaseDesk ("LeaseDesk," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit leasedesk.co (the "Site"), request a free sample, or purchase The Commercial Landlord's Handbook (the "Kit"). By using the Site or providing your information, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request the free sample or subscribe to updates, we collect your email address. When you contact us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
Purchase information. When you buy the Kit, our payment platform (currently Gumroad) shares your name, email address, and order details with us so we can deliver the product, provide support, and administer the license. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; those are handled by the payment platform.
Usage information. If you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (a service of Google LLC) to collect aggregate statistics about how the Site is used, such as pages viewed, approximate region, referring source, and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and similar identifiers for this purpose. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load. Your browser also sends standard technical data such as your IP address and device type as part of any web request.

How We Use Your Information

To deliver the free sample, the Kit, and any updates relevant to your purchase;
To provide customer support and respond to your messages;
To administer refunds and to verify and enforce the single-user license described in our Terms of Use;
To send you product news and offers if you opted in, which you can stop at any time;
To understand and improve how the Site performs; and
To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that operate this business, and only as needed to run it:

Payment and delivery: Gumroad processes your purchase and delivers the files. Its handling of your information, including payment data, is governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy.
Email: MailerLite stores your email address and sends the sample, support, and any updates you opted into.
Hosting and analytics: our website host serves the Site, and Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) gives us aggregate usage statistics. Google Analytics loads only if you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner; Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy.

Cookies and Tracking

When you first visit the Site, a consent banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you accept, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure aggregate Site usage; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings. Our email and payment providers may set their own cookies as part of their services; refer to their policies for details.

Data Retention

We keep purchase records for as long as needed to support your license, comply with tax and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We keep marketing email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message;
Request access or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@leasedesk.co.

We will respond within a reasonable time and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Note that we may need to retain certain records to meet legal obligations even after a deletion request.

International Transfers

LeaseDesk operates from Canada and uses service providers that may store and process information in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected wherever it is processed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (Gumroad, MailerLite, and our host) that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site and the Kit are intended for business users and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its "Last updated" date, governs. Material changes will be posted on this page.
